3 Days Safari Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater

Tour Overview

Embark on a 3-day safari adventure to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with a small group of 6-7 people. Travel in a comfy jeep with a pop-up roof, guided by an experienced driver and a chef. This budget-friendly tour takes you to famous wildlife spots, where you can see wild cats like in the Lion King movie. In Serengeti, you might see lots of wildebeest, zebras, and maybe even the Great Migration. Then, explore the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, home to many animals, including the Big Five.

Note: Accommodation during the safari is camping-based, with the option to upgrade to lodges for an additional fee.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we’ll embark on an 8-hour journey from Arusha to Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro conservation area. Along the way, we’ll make stops, including a brief pause at the Ngorongoro Crater gate and viewpoint, where you can marvel at the breathtaking scenery for about 20 minutes.

Next, there’s an optional visit to a Maasai village, where you can immerse yourself in the culture of this renowned tribe. Learn about their traditions, including lion hunting, though these practices are now mostly historical. This visit lasts around 20-45 minutes and isn’t included in the tour price, as many clients choose to skip it.

Upon reaching Serengeti National Park in the late afternoon, we’ll embark on a game drive in Seronera, the park’s central region. Enjoy the stunning sunset amidst the wilderness, with the chance to witness predator activity or even a hunt. Later, we’ll head to Seronera campsite, where you can still observe wildlife, particularly hyenas, with the protection of active rangers.

Meals included:

  • Lunch
  • Dinner

Accommodation: Overnight at Seronera campsite

Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast, we’ll embark on an early morning game drive, offering ample opportunities to spot a variety of animals until the afternoon. We’ll then return to camp for lunch and packing.

As we exit the Serengeti, we’ll continue our journey to Simba campsite near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, a 2-hour drive away. Keep your eyes peeled during the drive, as animals can often be spotted along the way and even around the campsites.

Meals included:

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner

Accommodation: Overnight stay at Simba campsite, Ngorongoro.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, we’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater in search of the elusive black rhino. Spotting rhinos can be challenging, as they are among the hardest animals to find in this stunning crater. However, the unique topography of the crater floor makes it easier to spot other wildlife.

Following lunch, we’ll embark on a game drive before ascending out of the crater to our campsite. Here, we’ll pack up in preparation for our journey back to Arusha town.

Meals included:

  • Breakfast
  • Lunch

After the safari, we’ll provide transfers back to Arusha. End Of the Tour
